Livingstone Brown was established over thirty years ago by Gerard Brown, the firm's current senior partner, and Robert Livingstone (who retired from the firm over ten years ago).  Initially the firm had one office and a handful of administrative staff.  Over time, the firm has grown into one of Scotland's largest, with over twenty lawyers and a number of offices.

The firm's Glasgow City office is in Carlton Place in Glasgow.  Carlton Place is an historic cobbled street, over two hundred years old.  The attractive stone terraces contrast with the modern building at number 1 - the city's Sheriff Court, which is believed to be the busiest in Europe, and the third busiest in the world.  Livingstone Brown is located at the other end of the street, at number 84-87.  The large offices, located over three levels, include three departments: criminal, civil and asylum & immigration.

The firm's other key department is Glasgow East, which is based in extended offices on Shettleston Road, and also operates a branch in Easterhouse.

Both departments are large operations in their own rights.  A solicitor is usually available in each location during office hours, able to assist clients in urgent situations.  Where possible, new clients will be seen without an advance appointment.  As a court practice, however, our solicitors spend much of their time out of the office conducting cases on behalf of clients, so this service cannot be guaranteed.

You will find all of our staff to be friendly, professional and approachable.  Any enquiry is dealt with in the strictest confidence.  Remember that we offer a free initial enquiry service, where initial information can be provided without any obligation.  Just call for more information - see the Contact Us page.
