Livingstone Brown's Glasgow East department is based in spacious premises at 775-777 Shettleston Road, in the East End of the city. The firm opened its office in Shettleston in 2000, after acquiring the business of well-regarded local solicitor Damien Cohen. The Shettleston office now houses five lawyers, including managing partner Stuart Munro and partner Mark Allison, as well as a number of key administrative staff.

Finding Us:
The Shettleston office is located on Shettleston Road, between Westmuir Street and Wellshot Road. On-street parking is available nearby. A number of local bus routes pass outside the office. Carntyne railway station is around 200 yards away. The Easterhouse office is just outside the shopping centre, on Bogbain Road, just up from the police office and swimming pool. There is nearby parking, and bus routes run close.

Accessibility:
The Shettleston office is at pavement level (though there is a small step at the entrance). All of our interview rooms can be accessed by wheelchairs, although some rooms need another small step to be negotiated.
The Easterhouse office has level access (via a ramp from the pavement). All rooms have wheelchair access.

Stuart Munro is the partner in charge of the Glasgow East department. He is also the firm’s managing partner. He started working with the firm in 1990, and qualified as a solicitor in 1994. His main interests are in criminal law, family law (including disputes relating to finances and children), child protection and private client business. Stuart has conducted fatal accident inquiries, and has represented the interests of clients in public inquiries. He was the President of the Association of Children’s Hearings Practitioners for three years, and is regularly appointed by the courts to represent the interests of children in cases which affect them. He is also interested in using IT to improve access to justice, and has worked with the Scottish Legal Aid Board on the development of their online systems. He is a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Technology Committee and the Court Technology Forum. He has spoken at conferences and had articles published on a range of issues. First and foremost he is a court practitioner, and has unparalleled experience of litigation work. He appears frequently in the courts to secure the rights of clients in contentious cases, such as sheriff & jury trials, family and children's proofs and appeals, and instructing counsel in cases before Scotland's Supreme Courts.

Mark Allison, Partner
Mark Allison has been with Livingstone Brown for five years. In that time he has risen to the post of partner, and assists with the running of the department. He is principally interested in civil litigation, including family and child protection work, as well as employment cases. He is also able to assist clients with private client work. In addition to work in the Sheriff Court and Employment Tribunals, Mark has experience of work in the Court of Session and the Supreme Court. He has an interest in human rights legislation, and how that can be used to protect the rights of vulnerable individuals. A polished courtroom performer, Mark delivers style with substance.

Paul Mullen, Assistant
Paul Mullen joined the Glasgow East department in August 2008. Since then he has worked mainly in the fields of criminal law, employment and general litigation. He has conducted numerous trials, including jury cases, tribunals, proofs and appeals on behalf of his clients. With a friendly and approachable manner, he seeks to deliver results quickly and efficiently. |

John Pearson, Assistant
John Pearson started working with the Glasgow East department in September 2009. With a strong client focus, John is principally interested in family law and child protection. He also works in private client work, and is involved in guardianship applications and executries. John has been responsible for the firm's participation in the Will Aid Charity Programme, and is keen to increase access to justice in the local community. He also maintains a large employment law caseload, and regularly represents clients' interests in unfair dismissal, redundancy and discrimination claims before the Employment Tribunal.

Caroline Kavanagh, Associate
Caroline Kavanagh joined the firm in 2011, after working for another large Glasgow firm of solicitors. She is based at the Easterhouse office. Her main interests are in civil law, including family (divorce, separation, contact and residence) and child protection (children's hearings, appeals, referral proofs and social work disputes). She has experience of all forms of civil litigation, and will work tirelessly to achieve positive outcomes for clients.

Brian Rooney, Assistant
Brian Rooney joined the firm in 2012, having previously worked in Lanarkshire. He is interested in both civil and criminal litigation. He has extensive experience of representing clients in the courts. Brian is based at the Easterhouse office.
