The Specialist Litigation Team was instructed by a former company director in relation to criminal confiscation proceedings following his conviction for a £13 million fraud. The team was ultimately successful in negotiating a reduced ‘benefit amount’ from that contained within the Procurator Fiscal’s Statement of Information; the Sheriff then duly ordered payment of an ‘available amount’ in the sum of £814.33. The team utilised skilled negotiation and ingathered relevant evidence to reduce the client’s benefit amount by more than £8 million, to be akin to his original convicted sum.
