Chloe Cairns is an experienced family lawyer and an Associate with the firm. She graduated in 2018 with LLB honours from Strathclyde University, one of Scotland’s leading Universities, where she also completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Her career focus as a solicitor has been exclusively in the area of family law, and she is a member of the Family and Child Sub-Committee of the Law Society of Scotland.

Chloe has significant experience across a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child contact arrangements, separation, and prenuptial agreements. She also has extensive court experience and has had impressive outcomes when representing clients at court – she understands the realities of litigation.

Chloe takes a practical and empathetic approach, offering clear and realistic advice while always considering the financial and emotional costs for her clients. She has a strong knowledge of the relevant legal rules and court procedures, and is familiar with the different approaches that can be taken depending on the nature of each case, from a more conciliatory route or to robust representation in court.

Chloe gives advice that is not only legally sound but also fair, proportionate, and tailored to each client’s unique situation. She understands how stressful family breakdown issues can be and works hard to support her clients through the process with sensitivity and clarity.

Outside work, Chloe enjoys travel and visiting new cultures, as well as keeping fit. She is also a proud mother to a lively toddler who keeps her on her toes!
