Emma is a Trainee Solicitor within Livingstone Brown’s employment department and is based in the firm’s Glasgow office. She has been at the firm since March 2024.
Emma began her legal studies with an HND in Legal Services, before graduating from the University of Stirling with a First Class Honours in Law (LLB). Throughout her studies, Emma was a swimmer in Stirling’s High Performance Programme, a swimming teacher, and an advisor volunteer at the Citizens Advice Bureau.
In her final year, she wrote her dissertation on to what extent employment legislation in the UK, amongst other factors, influences the motherhood penalty. She completed her Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde in 2025, where she was a student advisor at the university’s Law Clinic, advising on a variety of topics.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, travelling, cooking and going for walks with her dogs.
