Kane graduated with First Class Honours in Law (LLB) from the University of Aberdeen before completing the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde the following year.
During his LLB studies, Kane volunteered as a Children’s Panel Member, gaining first-hand insight into the challenges families face and the important role legal representatives play. This experience fuelled his desire to practise in Family Law, supporting clients through complex and sensitive matters.
Since joining Livingstone Brown in November 2025, Kane has worked exclusively in the Family Department, gaining experience across a broad range of Family Law matters, including child contact cases, divorces and separations, guardianships, section 29 claims, and other related matters. Alongside this, Kane has continued to appear regularly in Sheriff Courts as he has done since April 2024. Throughout court proceedings, Kane adopts a client-centred approach, combining practical, clear advice with empathetic support to help clients through Family Law matters that can be emotionally difficult and unfamiliar.
Kane is currently working towards qualifying as a solicitor in August 2026.
Outside of work, Kane enjoys running and is currently training for his first marathon in 2026. He is also a keen music fan and enjoys attending concerts whenever possible.
