Siobhan has been practising Family Law for more than 30 years. She is widely recognised as one of Scotland’s leading family law practitioners.
Principally, she has been a litigator, practising in the Sheriff Court and instructing in the Court of Session which has included several high profile cases, but she also conducts Collaborative Law and is qualified as a FLAGs arbitrator.
Over that same period she was also regularly appointed in the Sheriff Court as a child welfare reporter in disputed court processes involving the care and upbringing of children and as a curator ad litem in adoptions and cases involving parental responsibilities orders being assumed by local authorities. She was the curator ad litem in the reported decision of the Supreme Court Principal Reporter v K 2010.
There are not many circumstances presenting in the area of Family Law which Siobhan has not encountered.
Outside of legal practice, she chairs The Folan Trust which is a Glasgow based charity focused exclusively on providing counselling for those who find themselves homeless. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Celtic Development Pools Limited. Her passion over her whole career has been as a volunteer helper with HCPT- Hosanna House and Children’s Pilgrimage Trust where she has been a trustee and group leader.
She speaks French and is learning Spanish.
