Our firm (principal Solicitor, Mark Allison) represented a mother facing very serious allegations which were said to have emanated from her teenage daughter herself and had led to Local Authority involvement (the Highland Council). By our proactive interventions and representation on her behalf, we were able to prevent her daughter from being removed from her care at the outset of the case, keeping mother and child together. Through the very careful instruction of appropriate expert reports, we were thereafter able to show that the allegations did not have substance and that the child was not at risk in our client’s care, leading to the Reporter withdrawing the application and ending any formal Local Authority involvement.
