Mairead McCrossan is a solicitor in Livingstone Brown’s Criminal Litigation & Inquiries Practice Area Unit, working in the Private Crime Team. She is based at the Glasgow City office. She joined Livingstone Brown in 2016 and completed her traineeship within the Personal Injury Practice Area Unit, qualifying as a solicitor in March 2020.
Mairead is a graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University, where she obtained her LLB with First Class Honours and was awarded the Best Honours Student prize and The Anne Gilfillan prize for Best Performance in Final Year by an LLB student. Following an internship with a non-profit in Switzerland, she then graduated with a Masters in Law (LLM) in International Law with Merit at The University of Edinburgh, where she was awarded the Tercentenary Award for Excellence and The Carnegie-Cameron Taught Postgraduate scholarship. Mairead obtained her Diploma in Professional Legal Practice (with Merit) at the University of Glasgow.
Mairead enjoys the complex nature of criminal litigation work. She has a dedicated approach to the thorough preparation of each case, utilising her civil litigation experience to assist clients in civil matters connected to criminal allegations. She ensures that client’s interests, both personal and commercial, are understood and represented throughout the progression of their case.
In her spare time, Mairead enjoys spending time outdoors, wild swimming and practising yoga.
