Nicola Watson is a Senior Associate in the Family Law Practice Area Unit. Nicola qualified as a solicitor in January 2016. She joined Livingstone Brown as a trainee solicitor in 2014 having graduated from the University of Strathclyde. Nicola has significant experience in dealing with various aspects of family law including residence/ contact disputes, relocation cases, divorce and separation agreements. In addition, Nicola has had experience in assisting with international child abductions cases involving the Hague Convention, in which she has acted on behalf of both Pursuers and Defenders.
In addition to family law, Nicola has built up considerable knowledge in other areas of general civil litigation including interdict, eviction and housing matters. She is also able to assist clients who are seeking to obtain Power of Attorney and Guardianship Orders.
Nicola has made countless court appearances in sheriff courts across Scotland and has instructed counsel in the Court of Session. Amongst her key strengths is her ability to relate to clients in an approachable and friendly manner whilst providing them with effective solutions to their legal problems. Nicola always provides prompt and practical advice, tailored towards moving matters forward for clients.
